Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026. This policy explains how DePinguin Network may collect, use, share, and protect information while operating a verified mobile compute marketplace.

Scope Information we collect How we use information Device compute data Sharing Cookies and analytics Security and retention Your rights Children Contact

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to DePinguin Network websites, waitlists, pilot programs, dashboards, APIs, worker apps, and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites, payment providers, app stores, cloud providers, or buyer systems that we do not control.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email, company, role, login details, verification status, and support communications.
  • Device information: device model, operating system, hardware capabilities, NPU/GPU/CPU signals, battery and thermal status, network type, region, availability, and app diagnostics.
  • Job information: submitted tasks, requirements, budgets, deadlines, routing decisions, completion status, outputs, verification results, disputes, and audit logs.
  • Payment information: payout method, transaction metadata, tax or compliance data, and payment status. Sensitive payment details may be handled by third-party payment processors.
  • Usage information: pages visited, buttons clicked, API usage, approximate location derived from IP address, browser data, logs, and fraud or security signals.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, and improve DePinguin Network, including to:

  • match jobs to eligible devices and route work based on constraints, price, geography, reliability, and capability;
  • verify outputs, score device reputation, detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce marketplace rules;
  • process buyer charges, phone-provider payouts, refunds, disputes, taxes, and compliance checks;
  • provide dashboards, APIs, support, notifications, pilot access, and product updates;
  • analyze performance, improve routing, debug issues, and develop new features.

4. Device compute and user controls

Phone providers may be able to define limits for battery, temperature, bandwidth, charging state, network type, time windows, permitted workload categories, and availability. We use device signals to respect those limits, prevent unsafe execution, route jobs, verify outputs, and protect marketplace integrity.

We aim to collect the data needed to operate verified mobile compute and avoid collecting unnecessary personal content from a device. Final app permissions and data flows may vary by operating system, workload type, and pilot configuration.

5. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Buyers and phone providers as needed to submit, route, complete, verify, audit, and pay for jobs;
  • service providers such as hosting, analytics, fraud prevention, payment, identity, support, and communication vendors;
  • compliance and safety partners when needed for fraud prevention, legal obligations, sanctions screening, tax, disputes, or investigations;
  • business transaction parties if we are involved in financing, acquisition, merger, restructuring, or asset transfer;
  • authorities or third parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, devices, or platform integrity.

6. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and analytics tools to remember preferences, measure site performance, understand traffic, improve conversion, prevent abuse, and support security. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect some features.

7. Security and retention

We use technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, especially during early product development and pilot operation.

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, improve routing and verification, and maintain audit logs. Retention periods may differ by data type and legal requirement.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing. You may also have rights to opt out of certain analytics or marketing communications.

To make a request, contact us at danielgoldin@start.bg. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children

DePinguin Network is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
